    Comparative Analysis of Performances for Tube Manufacture of HTP-made and TMCP-made X80 Steel Plates

    • Comparative analyses are made with performances for tube manufacture of the low-carbon, high niobium, non-molybdenum Cr-Nb microalloyed steel plate rolled by hi-temperature rolling process(HTP) and the low-carbon Mo-Nb microalloyed steel plate rolled by conventional hot mechanical rolling process(TMCP), resulting in the conclusion that the HTP-made linpipe steel plate is suitable for producing X80 steel SAW straight welded tube in compliance with the prevailing applicable technical standard, and that the operation costs will be considerably reduced, and thus linepipes as made in this way will be more competitive.
