Negative Elements Responsible for Surface Quality of Spiral Weld Pipe and Relevant Countermeasures

The surface quality of the spiral weld pipe is as so critical a quality assurance element as its interior quality. The elements as negatively influencing surface quality of the spiral weld pipe are analyzed, including weld seam apparent quality, impression on pipe body, sticking up and collapse, etc., and the causes for these elements are also discussed. Accordingly, countermeasures are proposed to improve the apparent quality of the weld pipe.
