Welding Pool Shape and Tempera ture Field Characteristics and Application for Straight Submerged Arc Welding

Based on the result of the theoretic research on welding pool shape and temperature field,the spatial distribution of the welding wires in the twin-wire straight SAW process is determined,featuring 12~15mm centers of the two wires,25~30mm stem extension and a specific inclination between the wires.Relevant operation shows that maintaining the proper spatial arrangement of the welding wires during operation will ensure satisfactory weld seam quality.
