DEVELOPMENT OF STEEL-PLASTIC ELASTIC THREAD PROTECTIVE RING FOR OIL-FIELD PIPE

Compared with the conventional steel protective ring,the Steel-Plastic Elastic Thread Protectiver ing developed by Baoshan Seamless Steel Tube Plant posseses such advantages as rational structure,reliable quality,simple manufacturing process and reasonable price.The results from tests such as freezing,baking and slipping show that the said protective ring is quite up to relevant API specification.In addition,valuable suggestions concerning establishment of specialized protective ring manufacturer in China and development of new type protectors etc.are put forward by the author.
