A Manufacturing Process for Small/Medium-sized SAWL Pipes

Elaborated in the article is a manufacturing process for small/medium-sized SAWL pipes that contains such major operation steps as decoiling of strip steel,butting,plate edge processing,forming,online continuous pre-welding,pipe cutting,automatic submerged arc fine welding,and finishing. The key techniques of this process are using strip steel as raw material,and employment of the continuous forming method as used for manufacturing HFW pipes. This process is particularly suitable for production of small/medium-sized SAWL pipes,featuring high productivity,low operation cost,and excellent product quality.
