Abstract
Based on the three-dimentional displacement and strain functions for metals of the deformation zone in tube rolling with cylindrical mandrels, which are solved using variational methods, the stress in the deformation zone is calculated by the plastic flow theory of metals, and the calculating formulas are proved by experiments, which offers a method for solving process problems in tube rolling.
