THE RATIONANITY FOR MATCHING A THREE ROLL PIPE MILL WITH A THREE ROLL MICROTENSION STRETCH REDUCING MILL

In the modification of a three roll 108mm diameter pipe mill train, the conventional pattern in relation to a three roll pipe mill matched with a two roll sizing (reducing) mill plus a rotary sizing mill has been greatly broken through and replaced by a new pattern of a three roll pipe mill only followed by a 12-stand 3-roll microtension stretch reducing mill in Hengyang Steel Pipe factory. The advantages with respect to the processes of the new pattern are described.
