Elaborated in the article is the development of edge milling machine for spiral weld pipe.Introduced are the structure, the working principle, the performance features and the application of the current widely used edge milling machine.Analyzed are the problems and shortcomings exsisting in the application of edge milling machine for spiral weld pipe, relating to the screw-down mechanism, the main drive shaft and the lifting roller etc.Preventative measures are taken and the results are good.
