    DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR MANUFACTURING SEAMLESS STEEL TUBES AND PIPES

    • Introduced in the paper is the general development of manufacture technologies for seamless steel tubes and pipes concerning such aspects as piercing, elongation, pipe-rolling, reducing (sizing) and tooling lubrication etc. The advanced coned piercing mill not only makes it possible to pierce materials which were hard to be dealt with previously, but also provides a higher product accuracy and a larger product-mix as well; the development of the drive guide-roll, tooling and lubrication technique concerning the elongator and progresses in such techniques as analysis, inspection and control upgrade the varieties and materials of the products; the mandrel pipe mill has been developing toward large-sized pipe production and compact mill configuration.
