Improvement and Creation of Pilger Mill Technology

The development of the pilger pipe mill technology is reviewed, and the advantages and disadvantages concerning this hot-rolled seamless steel tube-making process is analyzed. It is emphasized that the pilger mill process as so an old and technologically unique tube-making approach could be revived by means of the state-of-art technical improvement and creation.
