A NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR MANUFACTURE OF HIGHSTRENGTH DRILL PIPE FOR GEOLOGICAL SERVICE

This paper presents the technology of direct quenching after reducing,the puenching apparatus as well as the mechanical properties of the hot-rolled high-strength drill pipe treated by means of this technology.The industrial production of the above mentioned drill pipes indicates that the said technology will he considerably benifecial to the manufacturer.And therefore it provides a new approach to the improvement of the hot-rolling plant,which accords with the trend of the development of tube industry in the country.
