    Design Calculation of Drive System of Walking Beam Cooling Bed for Seamless Steel Pipe

    • Described in the article are the sturcture, the compostion and the working principle of a walking beam cooling bed for seamless steel pipe production.The load condition of the cooling bed in motion is analyzed, and the design calculation method of the drive system of the cooling bed lifting and transfering mechanism is discussed.According to the results of the calculation, the designed cooling bed drive system can guarantee low speed start-up and high speed stable operation of the walking beam cooling bed.When a seamless steel pipe drops on the fixed rack, it will stop at low speed, which allows uniform cooling on circumference of the pipe, avoids curving and ensures its surface quality.
