Analysis of Steel Tube Production and Operation Situations of Tenaris and Vallourec in 2013

Analyzed in the paper are the production and operation situations of the two world steel tube-making giants——Tenaris and Vallourec in 2013, in terms of sales volume, profitability, market distribution, assets and liabilities, and debt-paying ability.Based on the analysis, it is concluded that operations of the groups in the year were basically smooth, and that the rapid growth of the Middle East market got the performances thereof remarkably improved, whereas the their north American market experienced a temporary downturn.And the two groups are both more or less concerned with the current fall in oil prices.
