High-Accuracy Positioning System of Electromagnetic Hoist for Pipe Handling

Described in the article are the three Italy-made 12.5 t, 34m-span bridge type electromagnetic hoists of Tianjin Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., covering such aspects as the equipment cofiguration, operation characteristics, adjustment and fault-diagnosis. The hoists are capable of operating with high-accuracy positioning at X, Y and Z axial directions owing to the PLC and the stepless-speed regulating unit as well as the manual, semi-auto and full-auto operation modes.
