Abstract
Thermal mechanical simulation is a highly-efficient and economic experimental method for study-ing the mechanical properties,deformation behaviors and physical metallurgy of the material under different heating-loading elevated temperature dynamic conditions.Briefed are the commonly-used single-axel loading mode in thermal mechanical physical simulation,the application limit under the condition of large strain amount,and the advantages and characteristics of the torsion simulation test.Described here in the article are the NC heat tor-sion unit of the Gleeble 3500 thermal mechanical simulation testing system and its performance data.Also dis-cussed is the application of the heat torsion simulation technique to R & D of both metallurgical products and relevant technological processes.
