Application of Closed-die One-step Formation Forging Process to Production of Externally-upset Tubing

Elaborated are the manufacture of the externally-upset tubing, covering such aspects as the process design and the method for implementation thererof, and the main equipment and auxiliary facilities as necessary for producing the tubing with the closed-die one-step formation forging process. The operation practice demonstrates that the fully-automatic production line for the externally-upset tubing as designed and constructed by the company own force is capable of making pipes in compliance with the product specification of API Spec 5CT, being very effective.
