Comments on Standards of Seamless Stainless Steel Structural Tubes

A comparison is made between four Chinese and foreign standards for seamless stainless steel structural tubes in terms of technical norms. Gaps concerning the said technical norms between the Chinese standards and the foreign standards and the causes therefor are analyzed. Although the Chinese standard has been almost up to the levels of the corresponding foreign standards, addressing the said gaps, necessary moves have to be taken to improve as-manufactured quality of the said product so as to meet the need as required for getting the Chinese Standard in compliance with relevant international standards in the post-WTO era.
