Effect by Solid Solution Treatment on Grain Size and Mechanical Properties of Cold-rolled TP310HCb N Stainless Steel Pipe

    • Investigated are the effects by different solution treatment schemes on microstructure and mechanical properties of the cold-rolled TP310HCbN stainless steel pipe.As a result the facts as follows are revealed. The higher the solid solution temperature, the faster the grain growth, but the lower the hardness;and at 1 240℃, dramatic changes of tensile strength, elongation and yield strength ratio appear;the mechanical property changes are not obvious no matter the holding time is 15 min.or 30 min.;the solid solution temperature produces a remarkable effect on the hardness and the tensile properties, while the fracture mechanism changes from quasi-cleavage fracture to dimple fracture;the optimal solid solution treatment scheme for TP310HCbN stainless steel cold-rolled pipe should be holding at 1 240℃ for 15 min.
