DEVELOPMENTS AND PRESENT STATE OF CONTINUOUS RESTRAINED MANDREL ROLLING PROCESSES

The developments of continuous restrained mandrel rolling processes are reviewwed and emphases are put on the MPM train designed by INNSE of Italy,the continuous restrained mandrel mill designed by Aetna-Standard of US but installed in Japan and the continuous restrained mandrel rolling process developed by Mannesmann of West Germany.Some suggestions on piercing processes, continuous rolling processes and sizing or sinking processes are offered.
