    X-Ray Industrial TV Detection Process with 100% Coverage for Welded Steel Pipe Seam Inspection

    • Analyzed are the major causes for the problem that there exists a blind area,when using the X-Ray industrial TV detection system and the computerized real-time imaging equipment to inspect the end seam of the welded steel pipe,there exists a blind area. Three detection methods with 100% coverage for inspecting weld steel pipe end seam are described. Relevant actual operation results show that among the said three methods,the method involving changing the geometric dimensions of the receiving screen of the image intensifier is comparatively the best one. Thanks to this method,the shortcomings as caused by using the sheltering plate or a sheltering device can be eliminated,and thus the requirement of 100% coverage detection of the pipe-end can be met.
