    Control Functions of 2-level Automation System for MINI-MPM Plant

    • Introduced in the article is the 2-level automation control system of the Baogang MINI-MPM, focusing on analysis of the principles and calculation methods for the real-time control functions, namely, the self-adaptability control for feed forward/feedback of the MPM proper and feed forward/feedback of the stretch reducing mill, MPM shell-end sharpening control, shell length control and roll gap auto control as well as tube-end upsetting control of the stretch reducing mill. Also described is the result of the verification via actual rolling operation.
