    Design of Guide Device for Preventing Breaking of Steel Coil Joint during Manufacturing Process of SAWH Pipe

    • When the steel coil joint is passing through the forming device,and undergoing deformation in the manufacturing process of helical submerged arc welded(SAWH) pipe,it may crack under the load of the force,and thus,be stuck between the forming rolls of the forming device,resulting in damage of the equipment,and other troubles. Addressing this problem,a guide device is especially designed to prevent breaking of the steel coil joint during the manufacturing process of the SAWH pipe. Thanks to this anti-breaking device,the steel coil joint will be going so smoothly through the forming device,even in case it is cracking. Relevant operation practice shows that the said special guide device is rather effective.
