MEASURING OF FORCE AND DEFORMATION PARAMETERS IN THERMALLOY BILLET PIERCING

Thermalloy billets were pierced on a φ30mm two-roll cross-piercing mill. The rolling forces at the inlet and outlet of rolls, axial plug force, piercing time and billet torsion deformation were measured under the conditions of different heating temperatres, roll contact angles and feeding angles.
