Causes of and Precautions for Common Defects on LSAW Pipes

Common defects on LSAW pipes such as appearance defects,welding defects and base metal defects are introduced.Causes of these defects are analyzed,and precaution measures are put forward accordingly.It is recommended to tackle the defect problems from both production and inspection sides,choose appropriate NDT methods according to the characteristics of different defects and establish a reasonable inspection procedure to avoid false defects and missing defects.
