    Design and Development of TP-G2 Premium Connection for G3 Anti-corrosion Alloy Tubing

    • Elaborated in the paper are the design and development of the TP-G2 premium connection for the G3 anti-corrosion alloy tubing.Relevant finite element analysis(FEA)and the full-scale material object test are conducted.As a result, it is suggested to design the TP-G2 with the negative angle buttress thread, and get the inner thread tooth just a little bit higher than that of the outer one;ensure proper interference fit between the sealing face angle and the seal, and design the shoulder with a negative angle in the middle of the coupling;get both the inner and outer threads treated with the copper plating and the shot-blast processes to ensure the connection to have good gulling-resistance, and excellent air-tightening performance under any combined loading.The actual operation practice shows that the TP-G2 premium connection as designed and developed is in possession of such advantages as good gulling-resistance and sealing performance, rather high bending-resistance and compression-resistance, and high operational reliability.
