Quality Optimization of Cold-bent Square and Rectangular Steel Tubes

Discussed are the possible defects relating to the shapes and seam quality of the large-sized heavy-wall cold-bent square and rectangular steel tubes as produced by Hankou Rolling-forming Plant,WISCO with the direct-forming process. Also analyzed are the causes of the defects. Accordingly countermeasures are proposed,having resulted in considerable operation effectiveness.
