    A NEW TECHNIQUE TO ELIMINATE STEEL TUBE END TRIANGULAR DEFECT

    • A new technique to eliminate steel tube end triangular defect is introduced in the paper,involving working principle,structure and application. It is emphasized that the success of the new technique owes to the quick-push control system mounted. on the plug/bar supporting/stopping arrangement. When rolling the tube end,the pressure cell of the system releases a signal to activate the changeover valve of the hydraulic system and get the quick-push cylinder going fast forward and through the shell,which results in change of position of the plug relative to the rolls and increase of the D/S value, hence eliminating the said end triangular defect. Relevant industrial experimental operation has shown that the said technique is a simple and effective way to eliminate the tube end triangular defect.
