    Development and Practice of Pipe-end Wall Thickness Control System of Stretch Reducing Mill

    • Addressing the problem that during the stretch reducing process, both the ends of the pipe is being thickened, a CEC multi-step control model is set up by means of analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the electric motor of stretch reducing mill.Accordingly, the processing method for the CEC abnormalities and related cautions are put forward.During the production practice, thanks to adjustment of the CEC parameters, the CEC data base system is established corresponding to each pipe size, and thus the cropping rate is reduced by 1.9%, having resulting in obvious enhancement of the yield.
