Based on production practice,a formula is developed for easy calculation for width of strip to be used for producing welded tubes with a size range under φ50mm×0.7~2mm on a small diameter straight seam welded pipe mill.The small diameter,thin-wall straight seam welded tubes manufactured by the strip with width set by meams of the said formula have been up to relevant international standards.
