    Current Situation of Development of Precision Pipe-rolling Technology

    • Along with the rapid development of the precision pipe-rolling technology,the Accu-Roll mill has become the second most popularly-used mill type for production of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes.In the assay,the existing problems with the precision pipe-rolling technology are identified;The orientation and possible measures for improvement on the technology are discussed,including further increasing the retained speed of the mandrel by means of sharpening both head and tail ends of the pipe during the rolling process,approaching to enhance the mill's capacity and producing large-sized(over Φ508 mm) pipes with the Accu-Roll mill,etc.Based on the analysis,it is concluded that the Accu-Roll mill features low investment and technological advancement,being worth studying and selecting.
