  • Proper rotary piercing conditions are decisive to consistency and reliability of piercing process as well as quality of the hollow bloom. Based on an in-deep discussion on the rolling conditions of the rotary piercing process, specific characteristics of the deformation zone are calculated and analyzed, and the criteria and method for evaluation of the rolling conditions are built up. Also described here in the article is the method for optimization of rolling conditions which has been applied to normal production.
