    Study on Energy and Material-saving for Making of New Type High Chromium Alloy Cast Roll Used for Producing Steel Tube and Cold-bended Section Steel

    • Described here in the article are the pro duct ion and development situations of rolls as used for producing steel tube and cold-bended section steel both at home and abroad. Also elaborated is the new type high chromium alloy cast roll as developed and manufactured independently by domestic technical force. Moreover the said new type roll is compared with the advanced forged rolls as made at home and abroad in term of performance, service span and energy and material-saving effectiveness. The comparison result shows that material and process of the new type roll is completely different from the those of the similar products, and that the new material is not only capable of meeting requirements for relevant advanced pipe mills, and production of high grade alloy steel pipes, but also bring about high energy and material-saving effectiveness.
