Study and Practice of a New Process of 2-step Continuous Annealing

Elaborated in the paper is the new process of 2-step continuous annealing to meet the purpose of full annealing treatment by means of the walking-beam continuous quenching furnace-tempering furnace system，and proper controlling of heating scheme and cooling velocity. The tubular products made of alloy steels like 1Cr5Mo（12Cr5MoI） and T9（12Cr9MoI） as batch-treated with this new annealing process have got all of their indexes in compliance with applicable specifications，and relevant application requirements. The production result shows that said new 2-step continuous annealing process technology has brought about such advantages as significant enhancement of the annealing heat treatment efficiency of alloy steels and hi-alloy steels，saving energy and operation time，and helping the maker to reduce costs and increase benefit，which is worth spreading up.
