Study on Manufacturing Process for UNS S32750 welded Linepipe

Elaborated here in the article is the man ufacturing process for the super duplex stainless steel（SDSS） welded linepipe as used by a certain offshore platform.Also discussed are the forming method，the PAWGTAW composite welding process and the subsequent heat treatment process，which are used to ensure the weld joint to meet the requirements as specified under applicable specifications for microstructure，mechanical properties and corrosion resistance，etc.Furthermore explained are the characteristics of the metallographic （ferritic and austenite）structural distributions of the said welded pipe’s weld and base metal as solid solution treated.Related property test results demonstrate that all the targeted values of the pipe as produced with the above mentioned process such as tensile strength，hardness，impact toughness and corrosion resistance are in conformity with the requirements as specified in applicable specifications，which means that the manufacturing process is reliable.
