  • Discussed in the paper are various methods for forming and welding of the bimetal pipe with metallurgical composite steel plate or strip.Also analyzed here are relevant cases concerning manufacturing the spiral and the straight bimetal metallurgical clad pipes by means of the existing weld pipe forming and welding equipment.As a result,it is concluded that the key process for making the said pipe is welding of the composite layer.And for this purpose the bevel type and welding procedures should be determined properly so as to reduce composition dilution of the composite layer weld seam,and thus prevent weakening of the corrosion resistance of the material.The clad pipe as made with the bimetal metallurgical composite steel plate,and the forming-welding manufacturing process is in possession of both mechanical properties and corrosion resistance as up to applicable standard.
