Technology and Deformation Characteristics of Semi-floating Mandrel Mill

Described in the paper are the manufacturing process of the semi-floating mandrel mill and the deformation features thereof. Differences between the semi-floating mandrel mill, the full-floating mandrel mill and the re-tained mandrel mill are discussed. Advantages of employment of semi-floating mandrel mill to produce small and medium tubes are elaborated.
