R & D of Enhancement 13Cr Steel Anti-CO₂ Corrosion Oil Casing

Briefed are the characteristics of CO₂ corrosion in the work environment of oil/gas exploration.Also described are the design concept and the process of development of the enhancement 13Cr steel anti-CO₂ corrosion oil casing by Pangang Group Chengdu Iron & Steel Co.,Ltd.with its own equipment superiority.The evaluation test of the said casing as conducted by Sichuan Provincial Petroleum Administration shows that the newly-developed casing provides good mechanical properties and consistent resistance against corrosion when serviced in different CO₂ corrosive environments,particularly such environment with rather high temperature and low content of H₂S.
