Length optimizing of blooms for Φ100mm Plug Pipe Mill

The problems of the Φ100mm plug pipe mill located at Seamless Steel Tube Plant, Anyang I& S Co., Ltd. caused by uniform length bloom-feeding practice are analyzed, and the advantages of the newly-used specific-length bloom feeding method are described, giving an effectiveness comparison of the two different methods. The actual operational result shows that the new method is more compatible with the plant's actual operation circumstances.
