    Development of PSL-3 S135 seamless Steel Drill Pipe for Low Temperature Service

    • Described here in the essay are the main aspects of the PSL-3 S135 seamless steel drill pipe for low temperature service,including major technical indexes,steel type design,manufacturing process flow,and results of mechanical property tests,etc.High yield strength and good low temperature impact resistance as well as excellent high temperature strength of the said drill pipe are assured by means of such techniques as alloying process,clean steel-making,controlled rolling and heat treatment.Relevant testing and measurement results show that the PSL-3 S135 seamless steel drill pipe for low temperature service has its yield strength over 950MPa,and full-length impact energy absorption>100 J at -20℃,which ensures the drill pipe’s safety for operation under relevant harsh conditions.
