Application of Adjustable Roll Stand Technique of Stretch-reducing Mill

As a new technique developed over the recent years,the adjustable roll stand technique of the stretch-reducing mill is capable of satisfying requirements for different OD tolerances of the tube. Descried in the paper are the main aspects of the said technique,including the theory,quick roll-change process and the application examples of the adjustable roll stand technique in Baoshan Iron ＆ Steel Co.,Ltd. Relevant operation practice shows that the said technique not only satisfies special customer requirements for tube OD tolerances,but also enables reduction of quantities in stock of both the spare stands and operation costs.
