Analysis of Hydrostatic Pressure Bursting Test on Spiral Seam Welded Pipe

The values of yield pressure,maximum pressure and bursting pressure are all obtained by the use of the hydrostatic pressure bursting test on spiral seam welded pipes,which are also used to verify the rationality of steel pipe forming and welding process so as to provide some reference for pipeline designers and users. The devices adopted for the hydrostatic pressure bursting test on spiral seam welded pipes are described;the pipe inner pressure-bearing cases,test process and selection of different initiation points of the bursting test pipes are analyzed and the verification is made for the bursting test on the spiral seam welded pipes with grade X65 and size Φ813 mm×9.5 mm.
