Research on and Design of Roll Group Pass Station of 2-roll Mandrel Mill

Since the Φ159 mm mandrel pipe mill as imported from abroad is equipped with no roll group pass station,a complete set of roll group pass-measuring system,i.e.,a pass station is self-designed and manufactured by Seamless Steel Tube Plant,Angang Steel Company Limited.Elaborated in the paper are the necessity for measuring the roll group passes of the said mandrel mill,and the structure,operation process and design tips of the pass station.The actual operation result of the pass station shows that its measurement accuracy is completely satisfactory to the requirement of applicable specification,being helpful to production of high quality seamless steel pipes.
