Current Situation of Domestic Steel Tube-manufacturing Industry and Thinking about Further Development

China has ranked among the world's most powerful steel tube-making countries. Facing the coming new era of the industry featuring competition,abandoning the backward,and adjustment,it is necessary to keep sober minded to aware of the shortcomings and gaps of domestic steel tube-making circles in such aspects as rationality of variety quality,manufacture costs,econo-technical norms,comprehensive utilization of resources,environment protection,technical innovation and identification of customer needs,etc. Therefore,the following actions should be taken,including speeding up abandoning the backward production capacity,preventing any repeated project,enhancing the industrial concentration level via company combination and reorganization,developing the equipment ability to the full,continuously strengthening S & T and creation forces,quickening the transformation of the enterprise operation mode from the current "resource-depending" or "investment driving" type into the "resource-saving and environment-friendly" type.
