Abstract

The trial production has proven that it is possible to smoothly produce Φ32 5mm×10mm pipes on the Φ400mm plug mill with Φ270mm 20Mn3St,CC rounds and that the yield is no less than that of production with rolled blooms.The production of rolled pipes with CC rounds is basically based on the quality of the CC bloom which is mainly ensured by means of LF treatment of the hot metal.
