    Development and Application of Ultra-low Carbon Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe for Urea Plant

    • The ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel pipe for urea plant is studied in such aspects as material smelting, chemical composition control, hot extrusion system, heat treatment system, pickling process, Hugh's test and the trial production of the pipe is conducted based on summarizing the technical requirements and properties of the pipe. The trial production indicates that the 25.22.2 stainless steel pipe developed for urea plant, with its material quality and properties same as those of imported materials, can be used for the heat exchange piping and process piping in a large sized urea plant, which creates the conditions for the localization of the steels used for urea plant.
