Discussion on Application of Tube-end Sealing Types during Steel Tube Hydrostatic Testing

Briefed are the two commonly-used tube-end sealing types during steel tube hydrostatic testing,i.e.,end-face sealing and radial sealing.The technological characteristics of the said two sealing types are compared to each other.Suggestions for how to select appropriate tube-end sealing types are put forward.Relevant operation practice shows that once the right sealing type is used,the sealing ring service life will be increased,the untest-ed section of the tube will be reduced,while the quality of such section assured.,and less tubes or no tube will be bended under the test pressure.The actual application result is satisfactory.
