DEVELOPMENT OF NEW STEEL-PIPE CHEMICAL-TREATMENT PROCESS

The conventional alkali-acid chemical-treatment of Cr-containing corrosion-resistant steel pipesresults in a large amount of F & N containing poisonous gases and waste water.At present,it isdifficult to entirely purify and treat the said gases and waste water.The chromic-acid treatmentprocess for Cr-containing corrosion-resistant steel pipe described in this article makes it possible toreduce chemical-treatment procedures,to bring about less environmental pollution and to greatly sim-plify the waste water treatment process.
