    Development of OCTG Internal Rotation Quenching System and Process

    • To get desirable mechanical properties,most of the OCTG products need to be subjected to heat treatment of quenching and tempering at elevated temperature.Based on a brief review of the currently-used steel pipe quenching processes and related equipment,a new type of OCTG Internal Rotation Quenching(IRQ)system is detailed,covering the working principle,characteristics and equipment composition.Relevant operation practice shows that the said quenching system possesses such advantages as structural simplicity,uniformly quenching and cooling,low operation and maintenance costs,etc.It is concluded that employment of the IRQ process would ensure a desirable quenching performance.
