STUDIES CONCERNING CONED-ROLL ROTARY ELONGATING PROCESS

Based on a conprehensive analysis of features of various currently used crossrolling elongating processes, the co-authors put forward a new elongating process featuring multisectional coned roll, dual-curvature guide shoe and after-rolling-moving of the short cylindrical mandrel. The experimental result shows that the said new process is very practical and able to simplify structure of the cross-rolling elongator and its operation. The said process is of reference value for modification of small-sized pipe rolling mills.
