Development and Application of Fluorine-free Oxalic Acidating Agent for Stainless Steel Pipe

Introduced in the paper is a new type CL-3538 fluorine-free oxalic acidating agent for the stainless steel pipe,focusing on analyzing the basic corrosion principle,discussing the chemical reaction process for the film formation,and the preparation management and maintaining methods,etc.It is regarded via the analysis that the formulation of the said agent is satisfactory to the requirements for the performance of the oxalic acidated film,which means that using the agent ensures desirable lubrication carrier i.e.,the crystallized film to be obtained.Compared with the CL-3518 oxalic acidating agent,the above mentioned CL-3538 oxalic acidating agent is not only applicable as a lubrication carrier to cold-drawn (rolled) stainless steel pipes,but also more environment-friendly,and easier for liquid waste disposal due to its being free of fluorion.
